Like a River in Spring opens to rave reviews

The newest show opened last night. It was good, it was enjoyable, and most important,

It was from the heart.

Somehow I have gotten sucked back into the frey. I don't know how or why, but it happened.

See y'all later. And don't forget to turn off the PA.

So, What's the plan then . . ????

Since nobody else from NMT has taken hold of posting to the site, I thought I would.

So, I am watching 'Shaun of the Dead' right now & had the thought "let's check out to see how the site is doing"

As it is right now. If you are reading this you are the second person to visit this site since November.

You could have been number one, but if you were the first, you would be writing this & I would be pissing off about your rantings now wouldn't I?

All the same. I debate on killing this site or not. Since noone else in the "company" gives a rats ass about keeping up to date or updating people around the area, moreless the world about what the fuck New Moon Theatre is doing or wanting to do, so . . . . . ..
FUCK IT!
As it is now, it is pathetic that this site has not even gotton the random "next blog" hit in over four fucking months. And that is a bad sign right there when you cannot even get free & random hits from the provider.

See you @ the Winchester for darts & pig nuggets! And while you are here, pet & play with Moonie.

Bunnies need that.

Does anybody ever fucking read this ? ? ?

Or should the questions be, "HAS ANYONE EVER COME TO THIS SITE ON PURPOSE, OR DID YOU GET "next blog'd" into coming here.

I have been reading the site stats, and they are pathetic. Not even the other 'founders' of the theatre company read this blog.

I should have known though. Even after sending out many invites to people so that they can have posting privileges, so to communicate info back & forth. NOT A SINGLE MOTHERFUCKING ONE REPLIED TO DO SO!!!!!! Of course there is "I'm afraid of the internet", "I can't email the info, I don't know how", and my favorite, "I don't want to bow down to the big brother that can monitor every move you make..." My response is:
  1. Why? You poor frightened schmuck!
  2. Find someone that knows. If you can print the fucking thing, you can email it.
  3. Get a fucking life. Your parents know you are a freak, & your sister purposely stains her panties to try to stop you from raiding the hamper to sniff them. Even your pet turtle is in on it. If you cannot handle it, get a fucking helmet.
And supposedly I am the one that doesn't give a shit about things related to getting the company up, running, and professionally respected.

{Post Script~~ And even though I have been asked to step down, I am the only one trying to update this blog.}

Bitter no, sarcastic, yes. I should be allowed that leway.

And Live from "the big meeting"

Well here we are attempting to create a board of directors. After discussing the several options for the positions needed, we went on to talk about needing more playwrights & members to be involved. We got back to the question at hand about who should be the managing Director, and elected Duncan. With Jamie becoming his assistant.

Moving on to secretary Ben was nominated. And then we went back into general discussion mostly talking about the fact that we need to get more people involved & the different ways of obtaining them. With full commitment by all.

Calling Dr. Doolittle, Dr. Doolittle please report in.

Well The goats are on the way & will be happily romping around in the fields between being trained for the next show sometime this week. I don't have anymore details that justify posting about the goats, but I will in the future.

You may have also noticed the new blogsite mascot Moonie. I adopted her earlier tonight & thought she would have a nice home here on the page. Go ahead & play with her. She likes attention. If you don't see her in the sidebar, click reload on your browser.

That's all for now.

Another opening, another show . . .

Well, it is open, it ran with very few problems, and we didn't have to deal with smoke & fumes from an exploding car!

Tonights show is again at 8pm SHARP! There really is no excuse to be late. Or to miss it, {unless your car blew up}
REVISION: We had more than a car blow up, we had a building/grassfire. But it was across the river, so we did not have to deal with the smog of it all.

Hopefully we can pack this thing & then move on to plays about goats.

I will leave it at that, aside from stating it is a damn solid script, I'm not going to spoil it for all of you . . . . Just yet.

Take care, & check back often.

Well 17 hours until the building goes up.

OK! We are finally into opening day!

House opens @ 7:30, with showtime @ 8pm SHARP. Once the doors close that is it.
Due to the smallness & intimate surroundings of producing the show at the Art Barn Gallery:

NO ADMISSION
AFTER THE START OF
THE PERFORMANCE!

So make sure to get to the Horse Barn down at Falls Park early so to get in & get a seat. We promise that there will be no exploding cars in the parking lot this time! {we hope}.

OHH, BY THE WAY . . . DO NOT WEAR AN ORANGE JUMPSUIT TO THE SHOW! We just had a report that there is an escaped convict from the state pen on the loose. And since the production is about seven blocks away, we urge caution.

So, come on down if you dare. Tonight & tomorrow @ 8PM

Why light sometimes make sound

OK, We are on the home stretch of opening the 2nd show of New Moon Theatre. Nerves are tense, and it is showing at times during rehersals with flubbed lines, total space outs by "Oh yeah I'm in this scene. . . .", and other misc. crap that goes on with fledglings doing fledgling things.

So, almost 10 hours later, I have been "re-":
. engineering
. mixing
. blending
the living crap out of a bunch of pieces of music on my scratch sheet last night, adding more to the 'alt list' to rotate out with what I had last night. Oh by the way I did not mention that last night was the first time I saw the show in its "final" incarnation.

And as time goes on we should have a show, come this weekend.

Or 47 people enjoying a fantastic soundtrack on a really low budget sound system. And a troupe of theatre people enjoying creamed corn & peas. I have dibs of the corned beef, & spam.

A guy has to be able to barter rental for equipment somehow.

And my legs are not that great. ;-}>

Well, Here we go on the Summer season

Welcome back! Sorry nothing has been done here. I was busy with getting the 1st production off the ground. It was a showcase of all local & orginal talent & scripts. Now we are attempting to mount the summer season with two to four scripts.

We are in need of directorial, actorial, & most other factions & sub-factions for help. If you think you can lend a hand, let us know!

WELCOME EVERYONE!

This is a blog area to help get information back & forth between the members & connected people with the New Moon Theatre Group here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Hopefully I can get this working so that scripts, schedules, ideas & and things like that can be easily communicated between us all in a timely manner.
